It is Edgerton’s policy to provide equal employment opportunity free of discrimination against any individual based on their status as a member of a protected class or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. Edgerton’s policy, additionally, promotes the employment and protection of veterans and individuals with disabilities. We are committed to this Policy and its embodiment in the law
Edgerton is committed to ensuring that its employment practices, including recruiting, hiring, training (such as on-the-job training, co-op programs, apprenticeships and management trainee programs), job classifications, work assignments, transfers, assignment of overtime hours, promotion, lay-off, recall, or termination are administered fairly to all persons. Similarly, all salaries, wages and benefit programs will be administered in conformity with this Policy. Edgerton encourages each employee to develop their skills so they can achieve their fullest potential and, therefore, we encourage all employees to continually seek opportunities to upgrade their skills and job knowledge and inquire about training programs to further their career paths.
Edgerton, additionally, pledges that it will maintain a working environment free of harassment, intimidation, and coercion. Harassment of any type, including harassment based on an individual’s status as a member of a protected class or any other character-istic protected by federal, state, or local law, will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employees who believe they have been victims of harassment of any kind are urged to immediately report such incidents for appropriate investigation and resolution. Edgerton maintains and enforces a separate policy on harassment prevention, complaint procedures, and penalties for violations.
This Policy is available on Edgerton’s web site (www.edgerton.us), is posted at office facilities, and is available at any work site. All Company personnel must share in the responsibility of ensuring Edgerton’s compliance with this Policy.
